why usrah?

“O you who believe! When you are told to make room in the assemblies, (spread out and) make room. Allah will give you (ample) room (from His Mercy).”

surah al-mujadalah (58: 11)

i started my part for the usrah umum with the eleventh phrase from the surah al mujadilah, with the hope that everyone will open their hearts and may Allah gave them room for mercy, insyaAllah.

alhamdulillah, even though there are a few things that didn’t have time to share with my friends during the usrah, but i guess, for a first timer like me and few other year 1 students, it may be quite a big achievement for all of us. however, there are few other things that we need to improve. and thats why, post mortem is very important after every activities is done. especially, activities like this. we need a room to improve, so that the next time, an usrah is given, it will better and have more pengisian, insyaAllah. coz i think that yesterdays usrah is lacking of pengisian. more of sharing moments. but still, the sharing moments shared are also considered as pengisian, except it was too general than it suppose to be (that is my opinion).

though, to me, an usrah ahould have more reminders as what we should be reminded of, more of the remindings of the almighty, and more related to stuffs like self improvement. yes, the panels, malihah, fadhilah and alia, did touch a lot on that. but, maybe its the matter of time that we are concerned on, too little time to share a lot of things. i guess, the next time i did, i need to remind ourselves on time management, so that more things that can be talk on. like the MUST reminders, insyallah. well, i need to take note on that for the post mortem tonight. hopefully i remember that, insyallah :)

what’s with the title? “why usrah?” well, after i involved with the usrah umum management team for the first time, i had another usrah with my naqibah, kak Asikin. it has been a while since i had usrah with her and my usrahmates . alhamdulillah, we managed to have another usrah last night.

we started off with tadaburing the 28th until the 49th verses of the 17th surah of the noble quran (17:28-49) we then watch a video from kak sikin’s laptop (i didnt manage to find the youtube to share with you, sorry) it was from KITA’s production. it was a bit funny though, the title, KEK COKLAT.

there was a guy baking a cake, chocolate cake i suppose, and another guy was on his laptop, playing some online games maybe, coz this guys was, making the usual sounds…you know, sounds that boys do when they lose a game, and this guy, we assume he is the first guy’s room mate. (lets put the first guy, G1 and the second guy, G2). the G1 bakes the choc cake, every day. he bake specially for his roommate. how cool is that, alhamdulillah. so, one day, this G1 had to go some where, so he left his roommate with a note, that if he want the choc cake, he can bake for himself, G1 has left the ingredients on the table. what happen next… G2 went to sleep. he then, keep on imaging the choc cake G1 always bake for him. in his dream also, he dreamed of the scrumptious chocolate cake, repeatingly for quite a few times in his dreams. so, suddenly, he was awaken by the voice of G1. he has came back from..i dont know where. G1 was then surprised that the ingredients was untouched. but, G2 asked him about the cake. G1 then replied..if you want the cake, you must make the move, dont just dream!..the ends.

i kind of trying to figure out what the video was about, even my friends get the wrong perception because, if you watch the video, it wont be the same as my short brief synopsis as above, okay.

then, kak Asikin didnt quickly tell us the answer for her question earlier. she then proceed to the next question.. “why did you decide to go to usrah, in the first place?”

(jap, i guess, for the next few lines, i might be typing in malay, sorry)

what we said :

  • nak tambah ilmu, rasa ilmu tak cukup
  • nak bangunkan islam semula
  • nak saling ingat mengingati, sebab manusia ni pelupa
  • nak biar orang lain hormat Islam
  • dah menjadi tanggungjawab kakak kakak naqibah
  • sebab akak panggil suruh pergi usrah, saya ikutlaa (bukan saya)

tapi, kak Asikin tanya balek…kenapa akak akak ni terhegeh hegeh nak ingatkan adek adek? kenapa pulak nak biar orang lain hormat Islam? kenapa tak ajak je mereka masuk Islam, buat suruh hormat je? tanggunggjawab je? macam tu, akak ada banyak lagi tanggungjawab nak kena buat..kenapa pulak nak bangunkan Islam? ada apa dengan Islam? oh, tak ikhlas la nih ?

alamak, kami tersenyap. hmmm, setakat ni memang la pergi usrah sebab kat atas (tapi tak semuaaa) tapi, tak terfikir pulak sebab utama tujuan berusrah. jawapan dia tak berat. tapi kita tak sedar apa niat kita. kerana Allah? then, whats next? anda tahu?

hah, sebab nak capai yang kat atas sekali tu. ustaziatul alam ! a.k.a world order. huh? apa kaitannya kak, dengan usrah. tak nampak pon. jap,

mengejar mardhatillah :)

thanks for reading, salam ‘alayk
